// OUR STORY //

Rocky Mountain ATV/MC came from humble beginnings. Founder and CEO, Dan Thomas, created the company after seeing a need for ATV wheels and tires back in 1985. Dan was a proficient off-road racer and could often be found at desert race events along with his family on weekends throughout his teenage years.

Throughout the years, he has grown the company by creating a powerhouse team around him to handle different aspects of the business. Many of these team members have been here for years nurturing and developing their departments to meet the demands of growth. That same team is what helped the company transfer to a 100% employee-owned business (ESOP) in 2021. Now, each employee shares in the success and growth of the company as an owner.

A LONG-STANDING BENCH OF A-PLAYERS

Each person plays an important role at Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. People make the company move. People make the company grow. People take customer orders, process orders, provide customer support, source new product, create instructional videos, create marketing material… Many of the people here have long tenures – some over 20 years! They have passion for our sport and way of life. They work, they ride and they live the moto-life. They are the reason we became an employee-owned company in 2021.

We believe in a "hands on" approach and mentorship. Our goal is to be a "stepping stone" for further self-development. Whether it be moving a person through the ranks to leadership within our own walls or helping them gain education with tuition reimbursements to pursue other endeavors, we strive to assist each employee achieve their individual career goals.

Race Gas was developed to increase participation at races and club events. When a person signs up for an event, Rocky Mountain ATV/MC sends that participant a cash credit. Hundreds of organizers across the US are now using Race Gas to “fuel” their events.
